Rev. Lan Sherwood

In March 1993, Fr. Lan Sherwood was arrested and charged with sexual crimes with a minor after picking up a hitchhiker. That June Fr. Sherwood pleaded guilty to attempted sexual conduct with a minor and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and continues to serve a 10-year sentece in the Arizona Corrections System.

Fr. Sherwood will never be eligible to serve in priestly ministry.

Fr. Sherwood was ordained May 31, 1975. He served as Associate Pastor at St. Theresa Church until 1978. From July 1978 to 1982 he was Associate Pastor at St. Louis the King Church in Glendale. In July 1982 he was appointed Pastor of St. Henry Church in Buckeye. In 1985 he became Pastor of St. Benedict Church in Chandler until he was placed on administrative leave in March 1993.
