Lent Events for 2006


St Jerome Fridays' Soup n' Bread
This is the 15th year that St Jerome is hosting a Friday night Lenten meal of Soup and Bread. You will have your choice of four wonderful "Todd's Soups" The favorite is New England Clam Chowder and there is also Veggie, Potato & Cheese and Broccoli & Cheese. Also there will be an assortment of bread donated by Baker Wee on 43rd ave and Thunderbird. There is no charge, just donations. The donations go to the Homefinder Ministry to help the homeless. If you would like, you can bring your favorite soup bowl. As this is a light Lenten meal the only drink available is water (you may bring your own favorite beverage) Soup is served from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
The Saint Theresa Knights of Columbus Council 13497, in cooperation with the parish Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Cub Scouts host a Lenten Meal every Friday from 5 to 6:45 p.m. in Father Feeney Hall. The parish is located at 5045 E. Thomas Road in Phoenix. Soup, salad, pasta, bread and a beverage are all provided for $6 per adult and $5 per child ($20 per family maximum). Tickets are available at the door. Stations of the Cross follow at 7 p.m. in the church. For more information, contact the Parish Office at 602-840-0850.
Lenten Fish Fry will be hosted by St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church’s very own Knights of Columbus. A Fish Fry will be held every Friday during Lent. The Fish Frys will continue all the way to Good Friday, April 14, 2006. Each Fish Fry begins at 4pm and ends at 8pm. Take out is available. Also, Friday nights at St. Catherine of Siena, we offer 5:30pm Mass in Spanish. During Lent, The Stations of the Cross begin after mass at about 6:15pm. Parishioners are welcome to bring friends!
Los Caballeros de Colon les gustarían ofrecer pescado frito durante los Viernes en Cuaresma. Ofrecemos esto, hasta Viernes Santo. Cada cena de pescado frito empieza a las 4pm y continua hasta las 8pm. Puedes cenar en el salón de la parroquia y puedes llevarla a tu casa. Hay misa en Español cada viernes a las 5:30pm y las Vía Crucis (durante Cuaresma) empiezan alrededor a las 6:15pm. Todos están invitados!
Blessed Sacrament: Share in The Community of the Blessed Sacrament's Knights of Columbus hospitality - by coming to our Fish Fry. Held every Friday during Lent 4PM to 7PM - take out is available. Proceeds benefit parish projects.

St. Daniel the Prophet: Our Friday fish dinner begins at 5:00 pm.
Stations are at 7:00 pm on Fridays in English. We also pray the stations in English Monday-Friday after our 12:00 noon Mass. Stations are prayed in Spanish every Thursday during Lent at 6:00 pm.
St. Frances Cabrini parish in Camp Verde prays the Stations of The Cross on Fridays in Lent at 6:00 P.M. We serve a meal of soup and bread beginning at 5:30 P.M. and again after Stations at about 6:30. All are welcome.

Bingo every Friday (except Good Friday) at 7:00 PM.
St. Raphael will have Fish Frys on March 17 and 31, 2006. Choice of lemon baked or fried cod fish, French fries or baked potatoes, cole slaw, coffee, tea & punch – for a donation of $6.00/person. Stations of the Cross follow at 7 PM in our church. On the other Fridays of Lent, March 24 and April 7, our parish has a “super soup supper.” Free will offerings are accepted.
St. Catherine Labouré Mission in Chino Valley (2062 N. Hwy 89), we are doing the following each Friday during Lent (except for Good Friday):
Vespers 5:00 PM (In the church)
Stations of the Cross 5:30 PM (in the church)
Meatless Soup and Bread Supper (in the hall following Stations - hosted each week by a different parish ministry/group - we ask that everyone bring a bowl and spoon for the Soup Supper.)
An hour of Adoration followed by Benediction in the church (immediately following Supper)
St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Parish in Anthem Stations of the Cross and Fish Fry, Friday, March 31, at the Pioneer Living History Museum off Pioneer Road and I-17, just north of the Carefree Highway. . Stations at 6:00pm, Fish Fry following stations. Cost for the Fish Fry is $10 adults, $5 children (drinks not included). Call (623) 465-9740 for information and to reserve tickets for the Fish Fry.
