Points of Interest:
Holy Redeemer Cemetery is located on Desert Foothills Scenic Drive (desert preserve area). We want to highlight the unique design of a water sensitive desert cemetery. When driving into the cemetery, there is a 50 foot easement with no grass. This distance is required for a preserve area. In this area, there are only desert burials. All trees, shrubs and flowers must be of a desert character. Holy Redeemer Cemetery is located to the west of the Veterans National Memorial Cemetery. Holy Redeemer has desert and turf burials. It has an outdoor mausoleum and niches, referred to as the “Good Shepherd”, as well as a baby section and a ground cremation area with cremation boulders. All services for the mausoleum area are held in the Ramada. A special area for the Eastern Rite Catholic Churches is being developed which will have walkways and gardens. The original phase contains 1,447 spaces. Bil Keane, a local artist who created and illustrates the Family Circus in newspapers has a private garden crypt here. In the southwest corner of the cemetery we will be adding additional crypts and gardens. For your information, we do not have drains at any of our cemeteries. The landscaping is designed for the water to run to the lowest point and discharge to waste areas.
