The Office of the Chancery is charged with providing multiple services to the public at a community, parish, and individual level. These services include:

Providing support for parishes and individuals with problem solving, clarifying, and implementing policies and procedures within the Diocese;
Refering calls for services and information from the larger community to the appropriate agency or office;
Compiling reports for the NCCB, Vatican, Official Catholic Directory, etc.;
Implementing the Diocesan Sexual Misconduct Policy;
Arranging for Papal Blessings, Rome Visits, etc.;
Supporting diocesan actions related to placement of clergy, formation of councils, and implementation of diocesan policies;
Following up on complaints addressed to the Diocese;
Acting as a liason between the Diocese and local communities;
Overseeing the diocesan planning process;
Integrating the planning process within the larger community.
