The Office provides general disability services:

Work with parishes and schools to remove architectural and program barriers when feasible.

Train and prepare staffs to assess, plan, implement and provide services at the parish level.

Provide opportunities for specialized retrests, religious education classes and sacramental preparation for persons with special needs.
- Maintain a libray of resource material.

Faith & Light

St. Gerald of Aurillac
Suffered from several illnesses in his youth, and eventually went blind. Count of Aurillac who, upon his ascension to the position, gave away his possessions and dedicated himself to God and service. Though he never joined an order or house, he lived in chastity, and recited the Divine Office each day. He is the patron saint of the disabled and physically challenged people.
