Schedule of Day Meet the Speakers
Overview
The Department of Family Catechesis invites your parish staff to a day of inspiration and renewal that will bring new life to the ministry of each staff member.
For the entire Parish Staff: Pastors, Parochial Vicars, Clergy, Deacons, DRE’s, Youth Evangelization Leaders, Pastoral Care Workers, RCIA Coordinators, Liturgists, Music Directors, Receptionists, Office Managers, Maintenance & Facility workers and all who work in the parish.
Goals
The Advent Parish Staff Retreat seeks to offer Pastors an opportunity to support their staffs in faith formation and enrichment by:
1) Creating an opportunity for Parish Staffs to pray together.
2) Offering dynamic speakers who can help staff members grow in thier love of Christ and service to His Church.
3) Offering staff development time to reflect on how Parish staffs can more effectively evangelize and serve their parish community.
For Pastors
Your parish staff is an integral part of how people connect to the Church
and build a deep relationship with Christ. For this reason the formation and enrichment of Parish Staffs is a central aspect of parish evangelization and catechesis.
"For most Catholics, the parish is their primary experience of the Church...
The parish, then, provides the place, persons, and means to summon and sustain adults in lifelong conversion of heart, mind, and life. It is, "without doubt, the most important locus in which the Christian community is formed and expressed.”
