Celebrating the second millennium of the birth of St. Paul
June 28th, 2008-June 29th, 2009
On June 27th, 2007 on the Eve of the Solemnity of Sts. Peter & Paul the Holy Father announced that June 28th 2008 would begin the Year of St. Paul.
This year will be categorized by reflecting on the ministry of St. Paul, a renewed study of the scriptures and vigor to share Christ with others. This year will also take on an ecumenical dimension in which Paul's model of proclamation and dialog with those of other traditions, and his shared respect and veneration among all Christians will be a point of encounter between Catholics and others Christians who desire to know and share Christ with others.
