Following the direction of Bishop Olmsted, the Department of Family Catechesis provides ongoing support for Pastors, Parish Administrators, Parochial Vicars and clergy in the areas of evangelization and catechesis. 

Services include:

• Consultation on all ‘womb to tomb’ faith formation needs

• Recruitment, selection, and initial training of parish evangelisitc and catechetical staff.

 

• Ongoing skills development and credentialing for parish catechetical staff, including

- Credentialing Guidelines for Parish Catechetical and Youth Evangelization Leaders.

- January Leadership Conference for Parish Catechetical and Youth Evangelization Leaders.

• Information and resources on catechetical issues, sacramental policies and programs. 

- Dario Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos on the role of the priest in catechesis.
