Liturgical Minister Certification and Credentialing
The Diocesan Liturgical Commission has been exploring the issue of on-going formation for liturgists/musicians for several years. Recognizing that the normative process for becoming certified by our diocese is through the Kino School of Ministry (Phase III), there still seems to be a need to offer assurance to parishes that their liturgy/music professionals have some sort of credentials, and that on-going formation is part and parcel of these ministries.
If you are entering professional liturgical ministry for the first time or if you're currently working as a professional liturgical minister you will need Certification from the Office of Worship. Your credentials in liturgical ministry for the Diocese of Phoenix requires renewal every three years.
