Pregnancy

Have you just found out you're pregnant? Congratulations!

A pregnancy changes your life forever--be it your first, your fourth, or your fourteenth! Each pregnancy is unique and you may need some extra information to help you through the nine months leading up to the birth of your baby. Please use the resources below to help you as you progress through your pregnancy.

Are you unsure about your pregnancy? Do you need help to carry your baby to full term? If so, please visit this Arizona Crisis Pregnancy Center listing. Also, you may want to visit Maggie's Place, a home for pregnant women who are alone or on the streets. At these places, you will find support through the duration of your pregnancy.

If you are a single mother and you need help or you are thinking about giving up your baby for adoption, please visit the Adoption site of the Arizona division of Catholic Charities. This site also has information to help you find a counselor during your pregnancy if you need one. You may also be interested in Stand Up Girl:  Information, support and resources for young women that have become pregnant unexpectedly.

Is this your first pregnancy? Are you trying to find a good obstetrician to see? Check out this listing of Arizona doctors who strive to promote the teachings of the Catholic Church in their practices.

Are you interested in how your baby is developing inside your womb? Check out this Fetal Development Chart complete with pictures. Also see Just The Facts:  Information on all 9 months of pregnancy and including a pregnancy calendar for expectant mothers and resources for teachers.

Proper nutrition is key to having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. These nutrition and exercise resources should help you stay healthy throughout your pregnancy. (If you have specific questions about your health during your pregnancy, please talk to your doctor. These resources are only meant to help guide you with basic information and not to provide expert medical advice.)
