Volunteers News Local Events		VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR Assigned to individual parishes, the Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for receiving referrals, coordinating activities, directing volunteers, and acting as the primary contact person for the ministry at the parish level. CORE MEMBER Assists the Volunteer Coordinator with ministry duties. TRAINER Trains volunteers. CREATE-A-HEART Volunteers and community groups sew heart pillows to comfort people affected by cancer. GO-GETTER Solicits donations of time, talent and treasure. SURVIVOR BUDDY A cancer survivor that partners up with a person diagnosed with cancer. FAMILY/FRIEND BUDDY Family/friend of a cancer survivor that partners up with family/friend of a person diagnosed with cancer. EDUCATOR Educates the community about cancer awareness, early detection, and prevention. PRAYER/PARTNER Prays for the community and the ministry. RESOURCE SPECIALIST Updates resource lists and collects cancer-related information. POSITIVE PARTNER Provides upbeat letters and phone calls. DOMESTIC HELPER Helps with household chores and other domestic tasks. PRAYER SHAWLS Volunteers and community groups pray and make shawls and blankets to comfort people affected by cancer.
