Catholic Daughters of America
The Catholic Daughters of the Americas is the largest national organization of Catholic women in the world. The organization was begun by the Knights of Columbus in 1903 to offer a fraternal organization for women within the Church.
Spiritual enhancement, quality of life, youth, education, legislation are a few of the service areas the members work for and support. We support seminarians, scholarships for students, family life issues, Project Handclasp with the Navy, Habitat for Humanity, Operation Morning Star, community concerns as well as world-wide and legislative issues.
The motto of the organization is Unity and Charity. By joining together and working with other members, it is possible to increase the work through our joint efforts, where alone we would not be as effective. We work and communicate frequently with state and national officers.
