St. Catherine LaBoure’ Finance Council Minutes December 1, 2003
Present: Father Fred LeClaire, Mary DeWitt, Mike Holmes, Janeen Oquist and Verne Nadeau.
Meeting was called to order at 6:14pm. at Pete’s Family Restaurant.
November 3, 2003 Minutes -Verne motioned to accept the minutes as submitted. Motion seconded by Mike and passed with all in favor.
November 2003 P&L - Mary motioned to accept the P&L & Balance Sheet as submitted. Motion seconded by Mike and passed with all in favor.
Old Business - Fr. Fred mentioned that there are some places on the recently painted facia where the repair was either not completed or the facia with wood rot was not replaced. Janeen said that she would contact the painting company, Vicente Painting Inc, and have them come and repair it.
January 23, 2004 Deacons Dinner - St. Catherine’s is hosting a dinner for approx. 22 Deacons and their wives. To off-set cost of the dinner, Fr. Fred will ask both the Ladies of St. Catherine and the Knights of Columbus to donate $50.00. Fr. Fred is asking that the Parish pay for the balance of the expense. It was agreed that this type of expense would fall under the already budgeted “Ministry Support” line item.
Christmas and NewYear Collection - Lock-up of the collection will be: Dec 24th 4:00pm Mass - Verne Dec 24th 10:00pm Mass - Mary Dec 25th 9:00am Mass - Janeen, who will lock all the collections in the safe. Dec 31st 5:30pm Mass - Verne Jan 1st 9:00am Mass - Janeen, who will lock up the collection in the safe.
Manufactured Classroom - Fr. Fred has been approached with the opportunity for the Parish to purchase a 1995 4-classroom manufactured double-wide. If purchased, it would replace the existing mobile that is currently being used for classrooms. In order to purchase we would need $10,000.00 down, $500.00 per month until paid in full at 0% interest. Fr. will obtain more information regarding the double-wide, necessary permits, etc.
A dismissal prayer given by Fr. Fred. Verne made a motion, seconded by Mary to adjourn at 7:43pm.
The next meeting will be on January 5, 2004 at :6:30pm in the rectory.
