St. Catherine Labouré Catholic Church FINANCE COUNCIL Minutes for February 16, 2005 Present: Fr. Fred LeClaire, Dennis Bethke, Dan Mannix, Verne Nadeau, Andy Tobin and Janeen Oquist. Meeting was called to order at 6:15pm. Fr. Fred opened with a prayer. December 2004 Minutes - Verne motioned to accept the December minutes - Dan seconded. December 2004 P&L - Verne motioned to accept the December P&L - Dennis seconded. New Council Member - Fr. Fred introduced Andy Tobin as the new member of the Finance Council. Andy is well qualified for the council position with a background in investments for insurance and business. He also held a position on the Finance Council while at Sacred Heart Parish in Prescott. Andy will be filling the position vacated by Mary DeWitt. Old Business Hall Cabinets - New cabinets and counter tops are currently being made to replace the existing wall units in the hall. Verne proposed that since we do not have funds allocated for this project, we should draw the funds from the General Account. Dan seconded the motion. All in favor. New Business Hall Rental - Current Hall Rental guidelines are to have the rental price be the same for Parishioner (active) or Non-Parishioner. It is suggested that this policy be reviewed to include: discounted rate for Parishioners · registered for 6mos. · active in at least 2 ministries · regular contributor · case by case review Allow Non-Profit organizations to rent at no cost Sacred Heart School - School Board is holding their board meeting at St. Catherine’s in March. Since we have 8 families with a Chino Valley address attending Sacred Heart School they asking St. Catherine’s to assist with the tuition. It is proposed that a criteria be established for monies to be sent to Sacred Heart for primary Catholic education. Verne motioned to approve, Andy seconded - all approved. Andy motioned to adjourn at 8:40pm. Dan seconded Next Finance Council meeting will be on *March 10, beginning with Mass at 5:30pm.
