St. Catherine Labouré Finance Council Minutes June 9, 2005 Present: Father Fred LeClaire, Dennis Bethke, Dan Mannix, Andy Tobin, Janeen Oquist and Verne Nadeau Meeting was called to order at 5:45. Fr. Fred opened with a prayer. May 2005 Minutes - Not available for review and approval. May 31, 2005 P&L - Verne motioned to accept the May 31, 2005 P&L. Dan seconded. All approved Maintenance Committee has rejected the proposal for a new highway sign. Reason for rejected are due to 1.) City Tax 2.) Sign permit fee and 3.) New “dark sky ordinance” that the Town of Chino Valley is implementing. We did receive a $10,000.00 donation for the hall lighting and boxed outside lighting. Liability Coverage for Contractors Diocese of Phoenix is mandating that any work done by a licensed contractors must have at least $1,000,000.00 liability policy. We currently contract the church cleaning and the landscaping. Fr. Fred recommends that we offer employee positions to both of these individuals if they do not carry the needed coverage. Dan made a motion to hire someone to clean and landscape maintenance. Verne seconded. All approved. 2005/2006 Budget Remaining budget items were based on prior year expenditures and incomes with the following items open for further discussion: Plate Offering Income $145,000.00 Building Fund $ 14,000.00 Deacon Formation $ 2,000.00 Hospitality $ 500.00 Gas Expense $ 400.00 Secretary Wages 5% increase Adult Formation $ 1,000.00 Catechist Formation $ 700.00 Liturgy $ 1,000.00 Equipment Repair $ 1,000.00 Young Adult Formation $ 500.00
