St. Catherine Labouré Catholic Church Knights of Columbus
Council # 11827 The Knights of Columbus Council #11827 of St. Catherine Labouré Catholic Church would like to extend an invitation to all men of the parish who are age 18 and over to join our council. Our council meets on the first Thursday of every month in the parish hall. The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization that was founded in 1882 by Fr. Michael J. McGivney in the basement of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Connecticut. The Knights of Columbus are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. The Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and is unequivocal in its loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. It is firmly committed to the protection of human life, from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family. Today there are approximately 1.7 million members worldwide. These members provide over 60 million volunteer hours per year. The Knights of Columbus have five main objectives:
Our Council has supported many projects at our parish in the past including:

We accomplish our support of our parish and community through various fundraisers including, pancake breakfasts, Mexican dinners, spaghetti dinners, and our "boomerang club." Each year we also participate in the annual Tootsie Roll Drive sponsored by the national Knights of Columbus organization, which supports handicapped individuals. The Knights of Columbus were instrumental in starting our Parish Pro-Life Outreach Program. For more information on this program, please click here. If you would like to find out more about the Knights of Columbus, or would like to join our council, you can contact any of the Knights - we'd be happy to answer your questions.
