St. Catherine Labouré Knights of Columbus Council # 11827 are proud to have helped to form our new parish pro-life outreach program: “Pocket Change for Life”
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” Jer 1:5 In August of 2004, the Knights began providing jars for use in collecting pocket change that is given to Birthline in Prescott. Birthline is a pro-life crisis pregnancy center. Birthline does not charge any of the women who come to them in a crisis pregnancy center. They are completely staffed by volunteers so they have very little overhead. We are now using baby bottles to collect change at home instead of the jars. Since it's inception, the program has helped to raise over $1,000 each year to support Birthline. The project is now a regular outreach program for our parish. If you would like to participate in this outreach ministry, please pick up a baby bottle from the table in the vestibule. A large jar will be on the table for you to deposit the change you have collected for the cause. The amount collected each month is reported in our bulletin, and sent directly to Birthline on a quarterly basis. Please help us help the unborn! |
