FATHER JOHN SALVADOR LIBRARY The Library Committee would like to welcome all parishioners to our new library! Please stop by and see all the changes! The library is open after Mass every Saturday and Sunday. Volunteers are always welcome! Stop by during library hours and we'll be happy to help you find a "job" in our library. If you have any questions, please call the Library Chairperson - Dennis Bethke 636-1088. DID YOU KNOW?
We began the process of cataloging the donation made to our library by Fr. John Salvador in February 2001. This work was a continuation of the dedication of Felice Briggs, Marge Colbath and Natalia Tilman. They had catalogued 475 items prior to Fr. John's donation. Through his generosity, and the generosity of many of our parishioners, and organizations like the Ladies of St. Catherine, we now have a library to be proud of! The Library Committee volunteers hope that you will take some time to become more familiar with your parish library. We will try make you aware of the many wonderful books, videos, audio tapes and pamphlets available to help answer your questions regarding our faith. Rest assured, we have items for EVERY reading level, from toddler to adult; from deep theology to "uplifting" spiritual reading. Stop by and take a look at the library - we'd love to help you find a good book! A few library rules:
We have computerized our entire collection for easy book / author look-up. We can always use new volunteers as our library continues to grow! Our committee meets once per quarter on the 3rd Tuesday of the last month of each quarter at 7:00 PM If you would like to join us, please contact the Church office and they will let you know when our next meeting is. |
