Many of you have responded quickly and generously to the commitment
appeal for the ongoing support of St. Bernard's Parish. I am well aware of
the sacrifice you have made in renewing your commitment to our fine parish
community, especially as we experience the uncertain economic times we seem to
be encountering across the country. Thank you all for your continued

Thank you to all who have participated in the Charity and Development Appeal. Each year the success of the appeal depends on you. You have once again done a wonderful thing; your gifts have helped provide assistance to the members of our One Family in Christ in need of our care and support. To date our parish has raised $225,172 which is 100% of our goal with 78.6% of our parish participating. Your prayer and support is what enables people and organizations to achieve wonderful things.

Corporate
or Employer Matching Gifts can double
or
triple
your
donation to the CDA and can also be credited towards your parish’s goal.
Companies do change their policies over time so check with your employer. Some
employers match gifts from retirees or spouses of deceased employees.
If
you are not sure whether your company provides matching funds, ask or go to www.phoenixstewardship.org/CDA/donation.htm.
A Matching Gift form can usually be obtained from the Human Resources Department
or Benefits Coordinator. Fill in the employee portion and submit the form either
with your donor card or mail to the Office of Stewardship at 400 E Monroe,
Phoenix, AZ 85004 or fax to 602-354-2219 at a later time.
Remember,
most companies set aside a certain amount of matching money each year. If you
wait until later in the year to fulfill your CDA pledge, matching funds may no
longer be available.
