The Lector’s ministry proclaims God’s Word to the congregation.

Membership:
Open to all registered parishioners who are practicing, confirmed Roman Catholics with no obstacle to the Church’s teaching (example: married once in the Catholic Church by a Priest or, if remarried having obtained an annulment and the second marriage convalidated).

Meetings:
Periodic Training

Lectors are expected report to the sacristy at least 25 minutes before Mass begins, to dress appropriately, and prepare the readings in advance.  In order to maintain the integrity of the celebration of the Eucharist, Lectors once scheduled, are required to secure their own replacement in the event they cannot fulfill their commitment.
