Saint Catherine Monastery Icon

This Icon of Jesus Pantocrator, can be found at St. Catherine's Monastery, nestled in the arid valley at the base of Mt. Sinai in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt. The monastery was built during the reign of Justinian, (527-565). This is the oldest existing icon of Jesus, made of wax on a curved piece of wood.
