Bourgade Catholic, United Blood Services Team Up to Make History
On July 28, a new law went into effect that allows 16-year-olds to donate blood for the first time. A number of Bourgade Catholic students took advantage of this opportunity to help make history. United Blood Services teamed up with Bourgade Catholic to allow some of our own students to become Arizona’s first 16-year-old donors and our community’s youngest heroes. These history-making Golden Eagles included Brian MacCleary, Zachary O'Meara, Fernando Perez, and Michael Weikamp. Brian, who just turned 16 on July 26th, became the youngest individual to ever donate blood in the state of Arizona.
