Requirements/Eligibility:
- Open to students in grades 10-12
- You must have taken at least one semester of visual art in high school and earned at least a B
- Pay the yearly membership fee of $5.00
- Complete 15 service hours to promote/benefit the arts on campus
- Be in good standing with the Dean of Students
Purpose
These are the purposes set forth by the NAEA:
- Recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in the field of art.
- Serve as an inspiration for students to strive for higher goals in their work.
- Foster excellence and a dedicated spirit in the pursuit of art.
- Encourage the creative abilities and talents of the individual student.
- Assist students in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in the field of art.
- Bring art to the attention of the school and community.
- Increase awareness of art as a viable area within the total school curriculum.
- Advance aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the total educational program.
