Senior Awards Ceremony
Friday May 9, 2008
NDP - Dale Jensen Gymnasium
1:00 - 2:30
We will be following a "Minimum Day" bell schedule. The ceremony will be held from 1:00 - 2:30. Parents are welcome to attend!
SENIOR DRESS CODE
Girls:
- Dress, skirt and blouse, or coordinated slack outfit.
- No Bermuda dress shorts or Capri slacks will be allowed; only full length pants.
- No backless, strapless, spaghetti straps or plunging necklines allowed.
- Dress shoes or dress open-toed shoes; no flipflops of any kind (even if they have bead or other decorations on them).
Boys:
- Dress shirt, any plain color, short or long sleeved, properly pressed. If wearing a long-sleeved shirt, it must be buttoned at the wrist and not rolled up.
- Tie (any tie that is appropriate and professional) worn properly knotted at the neck.
- Dress, full-length pants, properly pressed; no shorts or jeans.
- Dress socks and shoes with a back and toe that is closed.
The Administration reserves the right to judge the appropriateness of dress.

8:00 AM-10:00AM Graduation Ceremony Practice in the NDP gym
(Gowns and tassels to be distributed)
11:00AM – 1:00 PM Baccalaureate Mass Practice at Our Lady of Joy Parish
(Pima and Cave Creek Road)
These practice sessions are MANDATORY. Students who do not attend them will not be able to participate in either graduation ceremony. The school will not be providing transportation to Our Lady of Joy Church. Students must be on time to each practice.

Baccalaureate Mass Information

Baccalaureate Mass
Monday, May 19 @ 6:00pm
Our Lady of Joy Church (Pima and Cave Creek Road)
Mandatory Baccalaureate Mass practice will be held on Friday, May 16 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Our Lady of Joy Parish (Pima and Cave Creek Road).
Attire
For the Baccalaureate Mass, students need to dress appropriately for church – no low-cut fronts or backs, no spaghetti straps, no bare midriffs, and no flip-flops. (If necessary, girls should be wearing a shawl or jacket.)

Graduation Ceremony Information

Wells Fargo Rules and Guidelines
- Tickets information for the ceremony will be posted in early 2008.
- Students will receive their caps and gowns at the practice/walkthrough.
- MANDATORY Graduation practice/walkthrough will be Friday, May 16 from 8:00am to 10:00am in the NDP Gym. If students do not attend this practice, they CANNOT walk in the graduation ceremony.
- Dress code for the graduation ceremony:

- Dresses or skirts and a blouse
- Soft tones
- Must be dressed in moderation
- Dress shoes worn must be appropriate for walking up and down steps

Additional items for graduating seniors:
No flip-flops
No sunglasses
Hair must be natural and comply with NDP dress code
No items may be worn on the outside of the gown (ie. Pins, writing, jewelry, etc.)
No gum or food of any kind may be brought into Wells Fargo Arena
No cell phones or pagers are permitted on the person of any student on or off
Caps cannot be tossed in the air during ceremony
No one must be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Silence must be maintained during the ceremony
All tassels start on the left side

Project Grad 2008

It is a special time for the students to spend one last evening together as a class. The cost is $100 and checks may be turned in to the Front Desk. There are scholarships available as we realize this could be financially unaffordable for many families. Please remember to turn in your laminated memory lane poster by Tuesday, May 13. Prize donations are welcome, and underclass parents are needed to work at the event.
