Spirit Week Schedule April 18 - 21, 2006
Participate in NDP's Spring 2006 Spirit Week!

Tuesday: Blasting Through the ‘50s

Schedule:  AFTERNOON ASSEMBLY Schedule (40 minute classes and a rally at 2:24 p.m. until dismissal)

Dress:  Pink, White, and Black Day – hair accessories, leggings, leather jackets, bows, glasses, hats, scarves, bobby socks, big flashy earrings, etc. must be pink, white, or black. T-shirts or other shirts may be worn without the uniform shirt; however all shirts must have sleeves and cannot be low cut or show any belly skin. Uniform pants, shorts, skorts, skirts, socks, and shoes must be worn.

Decorations:  Each class will be asked to decorate their assigned “Spirit Walkways” which include all the windows (not the doors) of the following buildings:

Freshmen:         400 building
Sophomores:     500 building
Juniors:             700 building
Seniors:            800 building

Lunch:  Senior Eating Contest; 50’s music will be played in
the cafeteria

Rally:  Fear Factor:  Chillin T-Shirts, Digging for Critters, In “Blind” Sight, Mmhmmm Milk! and Bobbing for Fish 

Wednesday: ‘ 60’s & ‘70s – Getting Funky

KEZ's Marty Manning/Beth&Bill Show will be doing a live broadcast from the NDP parking lot from 6:30 - 8:30am

Schedule:  REGULAR Schedule (45 minute classes)

Dress:  Accessories include colored glasses, peace signs, wigs, heads, crazy socks and hats. T-shirts or other shirts may be worn without the uniform shirt; however all shirts must have sleeves and cannot be low cut or show any belly skin. Uniform pants, shorts, skorts, skirts, socks, and shoes must be worn.

Decorations:  Continue decorating “Spirit Walkways” as noted above.

Lunch:   Junior Eating Contest; a mix of ‘60s and ‘70s music will be played in the cafeteria

SPECIAL SENIOR DOUBLE BREAK:  Seniors will enjoy a double break. All seniors are to report to the cafeteria at the beginning of first break to view the Senior video; refreshments will follow.

Thursday:  ‘80’s & ‘90s – Chillin in the ‘80s & ‘90s

Schedule:  AFTERNOON ASSEMBLY Schedule (40 minute classes and a rally at 2:24 p.m. until dismissal

Dress:  Accessories include neon colored jewelry, big hair, big earrings, bright makeup leg warmers, etc. T-shirts or other shirts may be worn without the uniform shirt; however all shirts must have sleeves and cannot be low cut or show any belly skin. Uniform pants, shorts, skorts, skirts, socks, and shoes must be worn.

Decorations: Continue decorating “Spirit Walkways” as noted above.

Lunch:  Sophomore Eating Contest – 1st Lunch; Freshman Eating Contest – 2nd lunch; a mix of ‘80s and ‘90s music will be played in the cafeteria.

Rally:  Teacher v. Student Basketball Game

Friday:  Present Day

Schedule:  Special Schedule
Period A:  7:40 – 8:16 a.m.
Period B:  8:20 – 8:53 a.m.
Period C:  8:57 – 9:30 a.m.
Period E:  9:34 – 10:07 a.m.
SPIRIT BARBEQUE:  10:10 – 11:11 a.m.
Period F:  11:15 – 11:48 a.m.
Period G:  11:52 a.m. – 12:25 p.m.
Period H:   12:29 – 1:02 p.m.
Period D:   1:06 – 1:40 p.m.

Dress:   Any pair of soffe shorts or jeans (long pants or capris); any pair of shoes with a back and no flip flops

Freshmen: gold/yellow shirt; however all shirts must have sleeves, cannot be low cut and no midriff can show.

Sophomores:  purple shirt; however all shirts must have sleeves, cannot be low cut and no midriff can show.

Juniors:  white shirt; however all shirts must have sleeves, cannot be low cut, and no midriff can show.

Seniors:  black shirt; however all shirts must have sleeves, cannot be low cut, and no midriff can show.

NOTE:  If any student comes to school with anything inappropriate on or with a color shirt that is not their class color, they will be sent home.

Decorations:  All “Spirit Walkways” should be completed before the Spirit Barbeque. Judging will take place during the Spirit Barbeque and the winner announced.

Spirit Barbeque:  Hamburger plate lunches will be sold (include hamburger, chips, and a soft drink). Hamburger fixins will be available in the cafeteria. Root beer floats will also be sold. Present day music will be played.
