Hello and welcome to 6th grade. My name is Carl Mosher and I am the 6th grade teacher here at St. Gregory. I graduated from Arizona State University West with a B.A. in education in December. I was officially named the teacher right before the second semester. I look forward to educating the student's of the 6th grade and I hope we can have a successful second semester.
The Mission of St. Gregory Catholic School
is to promote Christian values and
to pursue excellence in education
within the school community.
Throughout the semester we will be following the guidelines of the diocesan and state curriculum. I will make this an exciting and productive semester for the students. We will also adhere to the mission of St. Gregory and I will teach the students that they need to be respectful inside and outside of school.
Thank you and God Bless!
Carl Mosher
This month we will be taking a Reading Comprehension assessment, which will allow us to focus on the students reading level. This will be considered their monthly book report.
In Social Studies we will be participating in the 7th and 8th grade Greek Olympics. This will take place next month. For the time being we will focus on the lives and cultures of Ancient China and India.
Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday, January 30th with Mass at 10am. CSW runs through Friday, February 4th.
For the last couple of weeks the 6th grade has had the pleasure of being taught Religion by a Holy Cross Seminarian. Mr. David Halm is with us for the next couple of weeks teachings us how God wants us to live our lives. Thank you Mr. Halm.
Have a great New Year!!
