What a fabulous year we are having! The dancers are working hard at practice, and they are doing a great job.

If you missed our first performance this year at our St. Gregory Fall Festival, don’t worry. There will be plenty more opportunities to see our wonderful dancers perform. We will keep you informed about future events.

We are having a lot of fun learning about classical composers from the Baroque/Classic/Romantic/Modern periods, their lives, their works, listening to their music, identifying it, and singing and dancing and playing along. Ask your children in grades k-3 to name some of the composers and to sing or hum some of their selections.

Each week we are busy learning about famous artists and their masterpieces, art history, the elements and principles of art. We are drawing, painting, sketching, creating our own masterpieces (all the while listening to that classical music!). It’s fun and it’s wonderful. Maybe you already have some of your child’s work hanging on a wall or the refrigerator at your home. We hope you are enjoying it.
