Our goals have been to prepare the children to go forward. We have designed a program where we help kids learn the basics by starting at the bottom. With our help the kids learn everyday skills, like holding a pencil, using crayons and scissors and being able to recognize their names. They learn to listen and follow instructions. They also slowly learn how to write their names and learn a new Spanish word everyday. Their counting abilities grow everyday along with their social interactions, which include singing and dancing.
We are able to connect with the children and explain things to them on their level, thus allowing them to learn and have fun at the same time. We always strive to achieve the philosophy of St. Gregory’s School, which is to achieve excellent education and growth both mentally and spiritually. By the end of the year, the children will be ready to move on to Pre-K because they will have acquired the skills necessary to go on to the next level. Ms. Lopez and I hope that each child in our class will achieve excellence with honor while having fun and staying safe.
