Vocation Story

My family plays an important role in my vocation to the priesthood. I am reminded of my childhood when my cousin and I woke up at 5:00 am to pray a novena of some saint or the rosary, and then go to the celebration of the holy Mass. I loved it. My grandmother was a great example that inspired me to love Jesus in the holy Mass and pray the holy rosary to the Virgin Mary. Those days were the first time when I heard the call to the priestly life. It was when I was 10 years old. My grandmother told my cousin and I, how necessary it was to be in communion with Christ and Mary during our life and to be example to others in our daily life. It was a path that helped me to be more involved in the church and continue learning more about Christ. Later I was very involved in the church as an altar boy, lector, Eucharistic minister and in youth groups. All of these helped me to discern the vocation to the priesthood. I think that family member, friendship people around me, in one way or another put the seed in my life to hear strongly the call of God to the wonderful life of the priesthood.
