VOCATION THOUGHTS for PARISH BULLETINS

"Christ wants to speak to the people of today through your voice. He wants to consecrate the Eucharist and forgive sins through you. He wants to live in your heart. He wants to help with your hands... think about this carefully! The response that many of you give is given personally to Christ Who is calling you 10 these great things!" Pope John Paul II

Love God?? Love the Church?? Like working with people?? Consider the priesthood or religious , life... Call your Vocations Office!

"Everyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord will be saved. Only how are they to call upon Him until they have learned to believe in Him? And how are they: to believe in Him, until they listen to Him? And how can they listen without a preacher to listen to?" Romans 10:13-15

There ARE vocations! It would be presumptuous to say Almighty God would establish a Church and not provide priests and witnesses for His people. PRAY that those who are called will answer God's call!

Do we REALLY want more Sisters, Brothers, Priests? Then... "Ask the Father anything in My Name, anti it will be given you!"

God's finger touches each of us. God calls each. Have you listened? To what life has God called YOU? !

A priest in today's world spends a lot of time outside of church - in homes, hospitals, jails, schools, and on the streets. He goes where he is needed. It's a special kind of LOVE. Can you live it?

A vocation is like a seed. A seed cannot take root or grow in just any kind of soil or climate. To reach its fullest flowering, it must be cared for and cultivated. It is up to each Catholic home to provide the proper atmosphere for growth and development of this precious seed!

Christ's call to priesthood or religious life is an invitation, and, as such, it can be refused or accepted. If refused, it MAY be given again, but it may NOT! Do not refuse Christ if He is offering you this special invitation!

"The harvest is, indeed, great, but the laborers are few.  Pray therefore, the Lord of the Harvest, to send laborers into the Harvest."   Luke 10:2

"I am compelled to proclaim the love of Christ..." Consider the priesthood or religious life.
