One of the biggest challenges which our diocese faces is distributing information to the right people. This is especially important in the diocesan Vocations Office. The Vocation Board has voiced their desire to see a PARISH VOCATION COMMITTEE in every parish to serve as a liaison with the Vocations Office and the pastor/parish community.

THE PARISH VOCATION COMMITTEE

  • Should be composed of individuals who, first of all, have a deep love for God and for the Church!
  • Is made up of people who have a love and an interest in Church Vocations: priesthood and the religious life.
  • Is willing to dedicate time to pray, affirm, educate, invite, promote and support Vocations.
  • Will disseminate materials and information from the Vocations Office, Seminaries, SERRA Clubs, Knights of Columbus, and other Vocation Ministries through parish approved channels of communication.
  • Has the support, approval and encouragement of the Reverend Pastor and pastoral staff.
