To Christian Parents

Your Children...

If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.

If children live with ridicule, they learn to be shy.

If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.

If children live with tolerance, they learn to be patient.

If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.

If children life with praise, they learn to appreciate.

If children live with fairness, they learn justice.

If children live with security, they learn to have faith.

If children live with approval, they lean to like themselves.

If children live with acceptance and friendship, they learn to find love in the world.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, If children live with FAITH, THEY KNOW THE MEANING AND PURPOSE OF LIFE!

CONGRATULATIONS!  There is no greater privilege and also no greater responsibility than that of being a Christian parent!  But without a doubt, there is no greater joy than seeing children grow in the knowledge and love of God... to be prepared for the sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation and know the peace of forgiveness that sacrament gives... to experience the joy and excitement of First Holy Communion... to commit themselves to the Catholic Faith in the sacrament of Confirmation and mature into committed Catholic adults.  There is no gift more valuable or more lasting you can give your children than the gift of faith.  It is a gift that will last beyond your lifetime as parents.  That blessing is yours, Christian parents!  May God richly bless you in this very sacred vocation!
